About the Job: Busy and growing ophthalmology practice seeks full-time medical biller with at least three years of experience, preferably in ophthalmology. Benefits include a retirement plan, paid vacation and personal time. Salary will be based on skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities: Processes and balances daily payments and charges. Prepares and submits claims. Prepare, review and send patient statements and various collection actions. Identifies and resolves patient billing complaints.Following up on unpaid claims.
Key Skills: Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, CCI Edits, and modifiers. Must be organized and be able to multitask. Ability to take initiative, make appropriate decisions and solve problems with a minimum of supervision. Medical biller/coder certificate is preferred but not required.
