We are a fast-growing ambulance service company dedicated to providing safe, reliable, and high-quality emergency and non-emergency medical transportation. We operate a diverse fleet of diesel and gasoline vehicles, including ambulances, transit vans, and support units across four statewide locations.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Automotive & Diesel Mechanic with experience working on ambulances, transit vehicles, and mixed fleets. This role requires a self-starter who takes initiative and solves problems independently. The ideal candidate will confidently diagnose, repair, and maintain emergency vehicles to ensure our fleet is always mission-ready. Experience working specifically with ambulances and transit vehicles is REQUIRED, and an EMS background is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on diesel and gasoline vehicles, including oil changes, brakes, filters, fluids, belts, and routine inspections.
Service and maintain ambulances, transit vehicles, and specialty equipment.
Conduct full safety and compliance inspections to meet state and company standards.
Travel between all four statewide locations as needed (company-paid travel).
Accurately document all maintenance and repair activities.
Prioritize workload to minimize fleet downtime and ensure vehicle readiness.
Requirements
Proven experience as an automotive/diesel mechanic (ambulance or transit fleet experience strongly preferred).
Must have own tools and be capable of performing field repairs when necessary.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Ability to travel statewide across all company locations.
Strong problem-solving skills; proactive, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with emergency vehicle electrical systems and equipment is a plus.
