Overview
The Payroll Specialist is a knowledgeable professional who is responsible for ensuring accuracy of timesheets.
- Collect, verify, and input timekeeping data, including overtime, bonuses, and commissions, to calculate gross and net wages.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Ensure garnishments are entered into the HRIS System.
- Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors.
- Prepare reports for upper management, finance department etc.
- Proficient with payroll systems, (Dayforce a plus).
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; BSc/BA in business, accounting or relevant field is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Superior customer service skills, and excellent telephone interaction.
