Job Description : Tri-State is an electric utility. We have an Information Technology Intern opportunity for 2025. Students who have successfully completed two (2) years of undergraduate study towards a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from an accredited college or university are encouraged to apply. Seniors who will be graduating in December or are planning to attend graduate school in the Fall are also encouraged to apply.This summer position offers students hands on experience while working in a supportive environment designed to build your professional technical skills.Responsibilities : Under supervision, the intern will be responsible for assisting the IT Department with a focus on the business and process side of Information Technology. This may include reviewing / updating existing IT Service and Asset Management processes; creating and implementing new processes related to the management of assets, contracts, and finances; and researching and providing updates on upcoming projects and facilitating data validation and correction for assets, licenses and renewals.Projects may include the following : Data entry and confirmation of records in the Asset Management database.Researching and reconciling hardware and software renewals and contracts.Receiving and assignment of new hardware to users.Integration of procurement and automation of software deploymentDevelopment and testing of new asset and finance processesHardware and software asset process improvementsJob RequirementsStrong typing skills and accurate data entry skills.General knowledge of Information Technology functions and operations.Highly motivated self-starter who likes to be challenged a willingness to learn.Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and completeness.Duration, Work Schedule and LocationThe duration of the summer internship will be from about the end of May until the end of August.The work schedule includes Monday through Friday, eight hours per day, 8 : 00a.m. to 5 : 00p.m. or potential flexibility of days or hours upon approval, forty hours per week.
