What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr Project Coordinator position at Tri State General Contractors?
We are a well-established commercial general contractor and are looking for a Project Coordinator to join our team. As a Project Coordinator you will work closely with Clients, Project Managers, Superintendents, Subcontractors, Architects and other design team members.
Essential Duties and Overall Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Assist Project Management team in managing a construction project’s process and procedures.
- Prepare and track GC Preliminary Notices, Insurance, Builders Risk and Payment & Performance bonds.
- Coordinate with government agencies to obtain permits.
- Prequalifying subcontractors for compliance with company policies.
- Obtain and process project submittals.
- Assist with tracking all owner and contractor supplied materials for delivery per construction schedule.
- Data entry for venders, subcontractors and subcontracts
- Continuous communication with Subcontractors, Project Managers and Superintendents.
- Document control management for construction drawings and specifications including printing plan sets and maintaining current set of drawings and specifications for subcontractor use.
- Maintain project tracking logs.
- Assist with coordination between field and office.
- Obtain project close out documents as required and archive them.
- Maintain construction project files, electronic & physical, throughout life of the project.
- Manage all projects logistics as directed by the Project Managers.
- Communicate with Client’s construction team.
- Ensure Client’s needs are met in a timely, cost effective, customer service-oriented manner.
Desired Skills:
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
· Organized with excellent attention to detail.
· Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint.
· Experience with AutoDesk Construction Cloud or Procore is highly desirable
· Sage / Timberline experience is a plus.
· Ability to read plans and specifications is a plus.
Education & Experience:
· High School Diploma or equivalent required.
· Minimum of 3 years relevant construction experience with a general contractor.
· Experience in retail construction ground up and tenant improvements is highly desirable.
Salary : $28 - $30
