Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic 1099 Mobile Physical Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will provide personalized pain therapy services directly to patients in their homes, skilled nursing facilities, and other community settings. Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on physical therapy interventions including manual therapy, trigger point, and e-stim.
- Assist in the implementation of comprehensive treatment plans under the supervision of clinical director.
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and document findings accurately in accordance with clinical documentation standards and medical terminology.
- Operate and maintain medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) to ensure timely and precise medical documentation and progress notes.
- Communicate clearly with clients and caregivers to educate them on care plans, health coaching, and safety precautions for ongoing recovery.
- Support discharge planning processes by providing detailed reports on patient progress and recommendations for continued care.
- Maintain compliance with all clinical standards related to outpatient therapy, geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and other specialties as required.
Skills
- Proven experience in physical therapy treatment implementation across inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facilities, or home health settings.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy.
- Skilled in manual therapy techniques including trigger point therapy and other soft tissue mobilization methods.
- Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver and client interactions; ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Familiarity with clinical assessment documentation standards and medical documentation protocols.
- Ability to operate medical equipment safely and efficiently during therapy sessions.
- Experience managing electronic health records (EHR) systems with attention to detail for accurate medical documentation.
- Knowledge of discharge planning processes and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
- Inpatient experience or skilled nursing facility experience is highly preferred; outpatient or clinic experience is also valuable.
