Job Overview
Tri State Foliage, Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented person with a strong knowledge of indoor tropical plants to join our team as a Quality Control Specialist. This position plays an important role in ensuring customer orders are accurate and that plants meet our quality standards before being sent out for delivery.
The ideal candidate will have experience identifying indoor foliage varieties, recognizing appropriate plant sizes, and evaluating plant health and overall condition. A strong eye for detail and the ability to identify potential quality concerns are essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Verify that plants pulled for customer orders match the correct variety and size.
- Inspect plants for quality, health, appearance, and overall condition.
- Identify damaged, unhealthy, or otherwise unacceptable plants before orders are shipped.
- Verify order accuracy and identify discrepancies or missing items.
- Communicate any quality concerns or order issues to the appropriate team members.
- Assist with packaging plants to help ensure they are properly prepared for delivery.
- Maintain consistent quality standards and attention to detail throughout the order fulfillment process.
- Assist in weekly greenhouse inventory processes
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of indoor tropical foliage plants and the ability to identify common varieties.
- Experience working with tropical foliage, greenhouse operations, plant care, or the interior plant industry preferred.
- Ability to recognize appropriate plant sizes and identify potential plant health or quality issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18.0 – 22.0 per week
