What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator - 2nd shift position at Tri-State Fabricators, Inc.?
Job Summary
Produce customer / internal parts from various metals using CNC Laser Cutting machines
Duties and Essential Job Functions
· Perform laser set up (alignment & focus). Adjust laser parameters to achieve optimal machine performance on every job and prevent / minimize burrs and/or slag
· Ability to read manufacturing blueprints / drawings / layouts
· Ability to properly identify material thicknesses and types such as steel, sst, aluminum, etc.
· Load material into machine
· Ability to do basic part inspection
· Perform first-piece and in-process inspections.
· Unload processed parts and part skeleton
· Deburr/grind burrs and/or slag on processed parts as needed
· Ensure completed part counts are accurate per job router
· Properly stack / align parts on pallets or in boxes
· Safely operate overhead crane
· Properly clock in and out of each job processed via data collection hardware (Start time and stop time). Physically sign off on job routers once work has been completed for applicable work center.
· Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on machine(s) per schedule.
· Maintain clean and safe working environment
· May work at different workstations as production needs require
- Track individual and/or company (KPIs) / metrics. Strive for daily improvements
· Other duties as assigned
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
