POSITION TITLE: Ground Stocker - Warehouse
REPORTS TO: Stocking Supervisor and/or Team Lead
The Ground Stocker operates under the supervision of a Supervisor and/or Team Lead and is primarily responsible for receiving, organizing, sorting, and storing for the distribution of product in the warehouse.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the storage conditions of goods received in the warehouse
- Arrange items by category and deliver them to different aisles, bins, and shelves so that other members of the team can easily access each product when fulfilling orders
- Coordinate the stocking and organizing of products, dispose of trash and manage the cleanliness of the warehouse
- Stock the shelves of the warehouse with goods and keep inventory
- Receive merchandise that comes into the warehouse and ensure that the merchandise is unpackaged and stored according to established procedure
- Maintain the cleanliness and enhance the appearance of the warehouse by organizing products and scanning to the appropriate shelving
Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have good math skills
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must have the ability to stand for long hours
- Must have the flexibility and ability to work under pressure
- Must have the ability to be trained on a scanning gun

Educational Requirements:
- The Ground Stocker should have a high school diploma or its equivalent
- The Ground Stocker will receive on-the-job training after initial hiring. Training revolves around familiarizing the Ground Stocker with relevant policies, job duties, and necessary employee technology
Work Environment:
This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. Although the warehouse is not totally climate-controlled, oscillating fans and cooling mechanisms in the summertime and heating devices in the wintertime are in place throughout the warehouse to provide more comfortability.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
