Regional Superintendent - Substation Foundations

Position Summary

The Regional Superintendent provides overall direction and guidance to field superintendents and works alongside project managers from bid preparation through project completion, including dispatching equipment and personnel effectively. Additionally, the Regional Superintendent provides budgetary input to the Project Manager throughout the company operations.

This position reports to the VP of Specialty.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Communicate regularly with field personnel to be “in the know” about job status and lay out expectations
• Manage staff levels, wages, and hours
• Schedule equipment and personnel movement in conjunction with project managers
• Provide guidance in jobsite difficulties
• Assist in the estimating process by providing resource and operational input
• Assist upper management in overall operational planning
• Visit jobsites to observe and provide consultation or training
• Recruit, select and retain candidates and staff in your geographical region
• Act as company and HR liaison for Unions in your region
• Coach, counsel and discipline in your region as needed
• Conduct performance evaluations for your regional staff
• Work closely with and align with Project Manager
• Other relevant duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with local unions.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in construction management or a related field a plus.
• OSHA 10 certification, OSHA 30 preferred
  
  

Work Environment

Hybrid role between office and field-based work with regular visits to active job sites, often in outdoor environments subject to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind. Work is performed in and around rough or uneven terrain, construction zones, and industrial environments where large machinery and heavy equipment are in regular operation. You must be comfortable navigating active work sites, adhering to strict safety protocols, and communicating effectively with on-site personnel. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required, and flexibility is essential due to changing site conditions and project needs.

Pay And Benefits

Pay and benefits for this position will be determined based on the qualifications of the selected candidate and their applicable union affiliation, if applicable. The expected annual base compensation range is $150,000 - 200,000. Specific details regarding wages, benefits, and other terms will be in accordance with collective bargaining agreements and company policy.
