- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as AS400 or SAP.
- Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and root cause analysis to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze inventory data through tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Nielsen to uncover trends, forecast demand, and support demand planning initiatives.
- Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to optimize purchasing strategies, negotiate supplier contracts, and manage supplier relationships for cost-effective sourcing.
- Coordinate with logistics teams on shipping & receiving, materials handling, and order fulfillment to ensure timely delivery and stock availability.
- Lead process improvement projects focused on inventory accuracy, stocking procedures, and warehouse efficiency.
- Utilize data mining techniques for inventory analysis, category management, and supply chain analytics to support strategic decision-making.
- Operate forklifts and other materials handling equipment safely when necessary for stock movement or warehouse organization.
- Support 3PL providers in managing third-party logistics operations to enhance distribution efficiency.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles including procurement, demand planning, and inventory control.
- Extensive experience with warehouse distribution processes, warehouse management systems (WMS), and ERP platforms such as AS400 or SAP.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools like Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or Nielsen for data visualization and analytics insights.
- Excellent negotiation skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders to secure favorable contracts and pricing agreements.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis to resolve inventory discrepancies swiftly and effectively.
- Familiarity with logistics operations including shipping & receiving, materials handling, and production planning.
- Skilled in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma to enhance operational efficiencies.
- Valid forklift certification preferred; experience operating heavy lifting equipment is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets for strategic insights.
- Knowledge of materials management techniques including stocking strategies, demand forecasting, and stock rotation practices.
