What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dialysis RN position at Tri-State Dialysis?
Tri-State Dialysis is a growing company based in Dubuque Iowa with locations in Dubuque IA, Manchester IA, Platteville WI and Richland Center WI.
We are seeking a full-time Dialysis RN or LPN to join our team at our Dubuque, IA location. This position provides professional nursing care for patients in the dialysis unit and/or in the hospital.
This position will work 3-4 days per week in clinic, every other Saturday.
Essential duties:
- Complete nursing portion of the Comprehensive Interdisciplinary Patient Assessment and Plan of Care (POC) on assigned patients according to established timeline
- Identify the patient problem and determine the proper intervention, communicate to Unit Coordinator/Unit Manager/Director of Dialysis of all patient psychological or physiological adverse reactions, problems or other pertinent information
- Keep patients and dialysis equipment under constant observation during treatment, evaluate patients throughout, and properly operating equipment
- Review patient’s records, clinician orders and patient’s condition, and observe patients for changes in condition
- Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments and taking appropriate action based on patient’s response
Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing for Registered Nurses
- Minimum one year of professional nursing experience preferred; Medical/surgical, hospital, chronic illness, critical care and/or community health experience preferred
- Must be a licensed RN with an active license to practice in the state of Iowa and Wisconsin; BSN preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS)/Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) Certification
- Mandatory Reporter Certification, will validate advanced specialized knowledge through certification by the appropriate organization
- Valid Driver’s License and proof of insurance
