What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cable Installer position at Tri-State Communications, Inc.?
As a contractor of digital telephone, video, high speed internet, and wireless networking, we are looking to hire employees with a strong focus on detail and excellent customer service skills to join our cutting-edge team of Installation and Service Technicians for residential and commercial customers. We provide on-site training with a supportive team of experienced Technicians and Supervisors. Once trained you will make an hourly rate plus commission based on performance and tier level experience.
In this Entry-Level Position, you will work independently inside and outside of customer's homes to install products and services or troubleshoot reported issues with speed and precision.

CALIFORNIA: Auburn, Bishop/Mammoth, Eureka, Truckee, and surrounding areas.

TEXAS: Lubbock
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Employees will need to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening. A valid driver's license is required, and a motor vehicle report will be performed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Must be able to travel and work outdoors in all kinds of terrains and weather conditions during all times day and night.
- Must be able to perform near power lines and electricity.
- Must be able to be outdoors with all aspects of nature to include a variety of insects and plants.
- Must be able to be exposed to dirt, dust, noise, cleaning solutions, and pets.
- Must maintain below the maximum weight limitations of the equipment for safety.
- Ability to carry, climb, operate, and work upon an extension ladder multiple times daily.
- Ability to accurately measure distances, using tapes or other measuring devices.
- Ability to differentiate between an array of sizes and colors of wiring.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in a manner for which Customers can understand and find courteous and professional.
- Must be able to lift 50-80 pound throughout the day.
- Must be able to enter and work in confined spaces while bending, twisting, and reaching.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure all issued equipment is in good working order and fully charged daily.
- Complete all assigned work precisely and in a safe and timely manner.
- Install or troubleshoot customers' equipment in a timely manner.
- Properly track working hours and mileage daily.
- Maintain the assigned company vehicle:
- Provide an initial and monthly Vehicle Inspection.
- Keep the interior and exterior of the vehicle clean and organized.
- Drive in a safe and responsible manner always.
- Report any maintenance or performance concerns to management promptly.
- Refuel Vehicle before falling under ¼ tank.
- The assigned gas card is kept in a secure location. If lost or stolen, management must be notified immediately.
