Position Summary:

This AOG Technician will report to the DOM and ADOM. The AOG technician will be responsible for completing time-sensitive aircraft repairs in the field and giving timely status updates regarding repairs. This position requires the technician to display a professional demeanor and strong communication skills. Must possess adequate knowledge of Corporate Aircraft and be familiar with the Bombardier Challenger Line of Aircraft. This challenging position is key to providing TSC Operation with the same exceptional service they are accustomed to wherever their aircraft end up.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform AOG maintenance on corporate aviation aircraft.
  • Perform maintenance on a variety of aircraft configurations.
  • Perform a wide range of maintenance duties to include inspections, testing, repair, and servicing of aircraft.
  • Perform maintenance IAW with FAA approved technical data and Tri State GMM guidelines.
  • Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and methods of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • Maintenance shop cleanup, organization, and basic office duties.
  • Accurately complete all appropriate maintenance, work order, and RTS paperwork.
  • Identify (Schedule) Out-Source maintenance providers (OMP), authorized persons for accomplishment of maintenance to include accomplishing on-site audits utilizing TSC Vendor Audit forms
  • Review and ensure all required entries into the aircraft logbooks and permanent records are accurate and preserved in accordance with GMM requirements
  • Planning of scheduled and coordination of unscheduled maintenance on aircraft during normal and after business hours
  • Operate and maintain Company truck
  • Track and maintain Tri State spare parts on the truck. (Wheels etc.)
  • Any additional task directed by the DOM, Asst. DO

The successful candidate for this position must hold a valid A&P certificate and have a minimum of 2 years of experience providing maintenance on Corporate Aircraft:

  • Have Corporate Aircraft Experience (Particularly Bombardier Challenger Line) CRJ200/CL850 would be a plus.
  • Owns his/her own basic tools
  • Strong Communications Skills in being able to keep Upper Management and Operations detailed Status of Aircraft in timely increments

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to be willing to work on elevated platforms (up to 40 feet in the air) using fall protection safety gear
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time while performing repairs
  • Ability to lift 70 lbs or more
  • Ability to operate basic hand tools and ground equipment
  • Ability to work in confined spaces

Non-Physical Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Must have a current, valid driver’s license.
  • Must maintain a valid, current passport.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to learn and use technical manuals
  • Good mechanical aptitude and ability to solve problems effectively
  • Be a problem solver by effectively reading and interpreting maintenance, wiring and illustrated parts manuals
  • Ability to communicate in writing and verbally in a clear and understandable manner with co-workers, customers and company Leadership
  • Must be able to perform repairs effectively and quickly in short notice, high-pressure situations
  • Must be able to input and retrieve information from computers
  • Experience with Apple and Microsoft products especially Outlook, Word, and Excel spreadsheets
  • Must be willing and able to travel to locations, in all weather conditions, to perform repairs, with minimal notice
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Must have dedication and a high level of motivation.
  • Must be able to function independently and think outside the box.
  • Must be able to work efficiently in stressful situations meeting deadline
  • Must possess excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to read and comprehend moderately complex technical material well enough to recognize and correct errors
  • Must have effective interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Must be able to multi-task; be flexible and adaptable as deadlines shift and work from many work areas
  • Must be able to interact with management and customers in a professional manner
  • Must be able to anticipate upcoming needs on recurrent tasks
  • Must be able to manage time and priorities effectively
  • Must be able to generate and maintain accurate records and action summaries

Required Education and Experience:

  • Hold a mechanic certification with Airframe and Powerplant ratings
  • Two (2) years of aircraft maintenance experience
  • Significant CRJ 200 troubleshooting experience preferred Key Attributes for a Maintenance Controller
  • To have in their possession the appropriate and current certificate for which they are exercising the privileges.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
  • Must regularly be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $93,600.00 - $135,200.00 per year
