Overview: Tri-State Carbonation Services is seeking a Logistics Manager in Monticello.
The Logistics Manager needs to be experienced and highly organized and will oversee the safe and efficient delivery of bulk CO2 and cylinder gases to our customers, which include restaurants, bars, entertainment venues, agricultural facilities and microbreweries throughout 9 Northeastern states. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a proven track record in logistics, inventory management, and customer relations. The Logistics Manager will be responsible for routing and dispatching drivers, resolving customer inquiries, and ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on schedule.
Responsibilities
Routing and scheduling: Develop and implement efficient daily delivery routes for drivers using transportation management software. Adjust schedules and re-route drivers in real-time as needed to accommodate new orders, emergency run-out deliveries, road conditions and delays.
Driver supervision: Directly manage a team of drivers, including providing coaching, conducting performance evaluations, and ensuring all standard operating procedures are followed.
Customer relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and complaints regarding deliveries. Communicate effectively with customers to resolve issues promptly and ensure a high level of satisfaction.
Safety and compliance: Enforce strict adherence to all company safety protocols and state and federal regulations for the handling and transportation of hazardous materials. Conduct regular safety audits and ensure vehicles and equipment are properly maintained.
Inventory management: Collaborate with the sales and supply teams to forecast demand, monitor inventory levels, and ensure adequate product inventory.
Managing Emergencies: Coordinate after-hours / weekend rotating schedule for various regions including how customer calls after-hours are handled and if dispatch is required by on-call delivery driver. Adjusting delivery schedules to facilitate deliveries to emergency runouts as soon as possible.
Requirements
Working experience as a Logistics Manager or similar supervisory role in dispatch, preferably in truck distribution.
Knowledge of metro NY region a plus as our six delivery trucks work from 4 distribution depots NYC / Long Island being the most challenging & dynamic.
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and optimize routes.
Gain proficiency with logistics / delivery software and route optimization tools.
Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to maintaining positive client relationships.
Solid knowledge of relevant safety standards, including Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, work with safety manager to ensure compliance.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in an office environment. May require occasional travel to customer sites and riding along with delivery drivers every few months to ensure compliance with safety/ company standards & show support for their job.
Must be willing to train for months alongside current logistics / dispatch manager who is retiring Spring 2025 and office staff. During training must travel to delivery locations in company provided vehicle to ride with delivery drivers & installation/ service techs to learn exactly what they do, their needs, and how the workflow happens.
Shift, Salary, and Benefits; This is a Full-Time position Monday-Thursday, $60,000 - $70,000 yearly, Benefits include Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Paid Vacation, Paid Sick Leave, Holidays, and 401K/Retirement.
