What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Security Staff position at TRI-STAR SOLUTIONS?
Job summary
Tri-Star Solutions is a veteran-owned security, training, and investigations company in the Eugene–Springfield area, and we're hiring Event Staff Alcohol Monitors for concerts, college athletics, festivals, and private events. You'll help keep guests safe and keep each venue in line with its alcohol service rules. That means checking IDs, watching for over-service and underage drinking, and stepping in early and calmly before small problems turn into incidents. You'll work alongside our security team, take direction from event supervisors, and report anything of concern over the radio.
What you'll do:
Check IDs at entry points and service areas, and apply wristbands or other age markers
Monitor beer gardens, bars, and seating areas for signs of intoxication, underage drinking, and over-service
Work with bartenders, venue staff, and security to cut off service or remove guests when needed
Stop people from carrying alcohol out of permitted areas
De-escalate tense situations professionally and call a supervisor, EMS, or law enforcement when needed
Report incidents over the radio and help complete written reports after each shift
Stay alert, visible, and approachable throughout the event
What we're looking for:
18 or older, with a valid government ID
Able to pass a background check
Clear communication skills and a calm, confident presence with crowds
Able to stand and walk for 6 to 10 hours and work outdoors in any weather
Available evenings, weekends, and game days
Flexible, event-based scheduling with high-profile events
Uniform:
Charcoal gray pants and all-black boots. We provide the Tri-Star shirt
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 per week
