Role Description The Mental Health Therapist will provide direct clinical services, including individual, couples, and family therapy, in an on-site setting located in Kingsport, TN. This full-time role involves conducting intake assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation. The therapist will regularly collaborate with clients to set goals, monitor progress, and adjust interventions as needed. Additional responsibilities include coordinating care with other providers when appropriate, participating in case consultations, and upholding all legal, ethical, and professional standards for practice.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Treatment Planning and Mental Health assessment and intervention.
- Background in Social Work, Counseling, Mental Health, and Case Management to support coordinated, client-centered care.
- Experience or training in Family Therapy, couples counseling, or systems-focused approaches.
- Relevant master’s degree (e.g., Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology).
- Active or eligible licensure in Tennessee (e.g., LCSW, LPC/MHSP, LMFT, or equivalent).
- Ability to maintain clear, organized clinical documentation and manage a consistent caseload.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and boundary-setting skills, with a commitment to culturally responsive practice.
- Comfort working on-site in Kingsport, TN and collaborating within a private practice environment.
