Position Summary:
The Post-Harvest Technician supports all operations that occur after cannabis plants are harvested within a Pennsylvania-licensed medical marijuana grower/processor facility. This position involves trimming, drying, curing, weighing, and packaging product while maintaining strict quality control, sanitation, and compliance with the Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) Medical Marijuana Program regulations. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, adherence to safety and compliance standards, and the ability to maintain product quality and consistency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in cutting, transporting, and handling cannabis plants in preparation for drying and curing.
Perform both wet and dry trimming to prepare flower for processing while maintaining product integrity.
Post-harvest cleaning of grow-rooms-Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Monitor and maintain drying and curing environments according to company specifications to ensure quality and potency.
Accurately weigh, label, and package cannabis flower and products according to batch and strain requirements.
Identify issues that arise and communicate to the Manager-work closely with cultivation, extraction, and packaging teams to ensure efficient workflow and accurate reporting.
Inspect harvested material and identify potential issues (pests, mold, etc.)
Other duties as assigned.

Possesses an understanding of cannabis pests and diseases.
Possess a significant understanding of all cultivation processes and tasks.
Strong written and verbal skills.
Basic computer skills.
Understanding of common grow room equipment and safety protocols.is a plus
Additional Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Must be able to obtain, and maintain, state badging requirements to work in in cannabis industry (requires background check and state review)
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a minimum height of five feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of fifty feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks.
Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)
Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
Work involves daily exposure to allergens.
Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)
Work Schedule:
40 hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs. Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
