Job Title: Cultivation Technician
Category: Full-Time, Non-exempt
Location: On-site, based in Pittsburgh, PA (Northside)
Reports to: Cultivation Manager
Compensation: $17/hr, plus comprehensive benefits

Position Summary:
The cultivation technician will be responsible for carrying out all duties assigned by the Cultivation Manager and Cultivation Lead. These duties include, but are not limited to, plant care such as transplanting, pruning, cloning, and watering, harvesting processes, as well as cleaning the cultivation facility. Individuals in this role will be exposed to extreme conditions, such as intense lighting, high temperatures, and high humidity daily. The use of ladders is common in this role
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Actively maintain a clean work environment.
Plant care such as cloning, watering, transplanting, pruning, harvesting, etc.
Working lengthy periods in extreme environmental conditions (intense lighting, high humidity, high temperatures.
Working on ladders / scaffolding.
Working with hazardous chemicals while wearing appropriate PPE.
Collecting data on company provided paperwork and inventory systems.
Regularly cleaning all grow equipment.
Performing janitorial type duties in grow rooms / grow area. (Sweeping, mopping, wall washing, tray cleaning, etc.
Regularly update logs pertinent to the job scope and maintain compliance with Act 16 and PA Department of Health Medical Marijuana Regulations 28 Pa. Code 1141A. and 1151A.
Other duties as assigned or requested, including but not limited to receiving and delivery. Assist other departments when necessary.
Skills & Competencies:
Excellent computer and communication skills
Excellent mathematical, language and reasoning skills
Strong attention to detail
Additional Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Must successfully pass a comprehensive background screening
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. to a minimum height of five feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of fifty feet, with or without mechanical assistance.
Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks.
Must be able to handle organic matter daily, able to wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection), and able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)
Must have visual acuity with/without job aids to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, visual inspection involving small parts/details. Clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (Moderate noise)
Work Schedule:
40 hours weekly with flexible hours depending on operational needs. Must be available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays. Possibilities for advancement. Minimum qualifications will be evaluated.
