Drive profitable growth for Galaxy Surfactants by developing and managing B2B accounts in Beauty/Personal/Home Care (e.g., L’Oréal and similar) and Home Care/Cleaning, selling value-added chemical services/solutions through a consultative, technical sales approach. Own sales budget, pipeline, negotiations, and closures. Develop new direct customers by proactively “walking the market.”
Key Responsibilities- Prospect and open new target accounts; grow existing strategic customers.
- Lead consultative sales projects: needs diagnosis, solution proposal, trials/validation, customer approvals, and closing.
- Manage relationships with client stakeholders across R&D/Formulation, Quality/Regulatory, Procurement, and Operations.
- Own forecasting and pipeline discipline in CRM (Salesforce preferred).
- Coordinate internally with Technical/Lab, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Customer Service to ensure feasibility and delivery.
- Prepare executive reports and presentations (PowerPoint) and commercial analysis (Excel).
- 8–10 years in B2B chemical sales (specialty chemicals and/or technical services preferred) into Beauty/Personal Care and/or Home Care/Cleaning.
- Strong technical/consultative selling with cross-functional customer stakeholders.
- Proven track record managing sales budget, forecast, and commercial targets.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Tools: CRM, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Conversational English.
- Availability to travel.
- Degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with customer qualification/approvals, specs, and compliance processes.
- Network in key brands, manufacturers, or CMOs within Beauty or Home Care.
Sales & margin vs. budget; new accounts; conversion of trials/approvals into recurring revenue; pipeline health/forecast accuracy; retention.
Relevant Experience (Target Background Examples)- Experience working with companies such as Stepan, BASF, Unilever, P&G, L’Oréal.
- Experience working with distributors (e.g., HJB).
