The In-House Technician Level 2 is responsible for performing intermediate-level technical work on X-ray imaging systems. This role includes diagnosing, testing, repairing, and refurbishing system components with limited supervision. The technician will play a key role in ensuring equipment performance, safety, and quality standards are met while supporting more advanced troubleshooting and repair activities.
What You'll Do
- Perform equipment harvesting and disassembly independently for assigned X-ray systems
- Apply working knowledge of system architecture to accurately identify, remove, and evaluate components
- Test and evaluate components using approved procedures and diagnostic tools
- Analyze test results to determine component functionality and disposition
- Perform component-level repairs and support system installation activities within scope
- Troubleshoot common system and component failures
- Support technical operations and respond to modality-specific technical needs
- Document work performed, test results, and repairs accurately
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and process requirements
- Escalate complex or non-standard issues to the Modality Lead
- 2–5 years of experience working with diagnostic imaging equipment
- Technical degree, vocational training, or equivalent hands-on experience in electronics, electrical systems, or a related field preferred
- Strong understanding of electrical and electronic troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Experience using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, insulation testers, and other testing equipment
- Mechanical aptitude for disassembly and reassembly of complex systems
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while following strict safety procedures
