We are seeking a motivated and energetic Cashier/Food Service team member to deliver exceptional customer experiences in our convenience store with a quick-service fast-food restaurant environment. This role combines cashiering duties with food preparation and service, requiring a friendly attitude, strong multitasking skills, and a passion for food industry excellence. Paid positions are available for candidates eager to contribute to a dynamic team while ensuring food safety, sanitation, and customer satisfaction. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Operate POS systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and sales processing
- Prepare and serve food items efficiently, adhering to food safety standards and sanitation protocols
- Upsell menu items to enhance sales opportunities while maintaining a positive attitude
- Maintain the cleanliness of the counters, kitchen, and food prep stations by performing basic sanitation tasks
- Manage food handling responsibilities with attention to proper storage, portioning, and food safety guidelines
- Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and supporting kitchen operations as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; retail or grocery store experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems is highly desirable
- Strong math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in quick service or fast food restaurants is advantageous but not required
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations, serving techniques, and food preparation processes
