Position Summary
The Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Specialist is responsible for the development and coordination of all EDI technical specifications and processes within the company. They will provide support to other technical teams and end users. The EDI Analyst will also create interfaces with the business to determine requirements, processes, and design EDI solutions to meet company needs. The qualified candidate should have experience with Sage X3 or SAP 4HANA ERP, MAPADOC, SPS Commerce, or Commerce Hub.
Main Accountabilities
- Analyzes and defines EDI requirements for clients, especially for needs and circumstances that are slightly unusual.
- Provides advice and education to clients concerning EDI guidelines and capabilities.
- Creates, develops, and produces mapping documents.
- Collaborates with programmers and internal staff to develop and test new or modified systems.
- Develops and maintains communication links with trading partners and oversees integration of information.
- Periodically reviews system to ensure client needs are met; identifies possible modifications as required.
- Remains current regarding EDI and internet field technological developments.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding and working knowledge of EDI formats and Internet functions.
- Creative problem-solving required to design a system that meets clients individual needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field required.
- At least three years of experience in an EDI service center required.
- Experience with ERP systems
- Strong experience with databases
- Travel (up to 50%) mandatory
