TCVS is a family owned private practice right here in your community for 20 years, offering family friendly hours and no oncall or after hours shifts. Our awesome team is looking to add an additonal Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Technician Assistant.
Summary
As a Veterinary Technician or a Veterinary Technician Assistant at Tri-County Veterinary Services, you will play a vital role in supporting our veterinary team in delivering top-notch care to our animal patients. This position is essential for ensuring the well-being of animals and enhancing the overall client experience. Large animal experience not required.
Veterinary Technician -
Requirements
- Required - At least 2 total years of Veterinary Technician experience.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy.
- Experience in animal handling and critical care preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Large animal experience not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians in the examination and treatment of animals.
- Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and administering medications.
- Monitor animal health during surgical procedures and recovery.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all patients.
- Provide compassionate care and support to pet owners during visits.
- Educate clients on proper pet care and preventive health measures.
- Handle and restrain animals safely for examinations or treatments.
Veterinary Technician Assistant -
Requirements
- Required - At least 2 total year of Veterinary Technician Assistant experience.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy.
- Experience in animal handling and critical care preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Large animal experience not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and during examinations and procedures.
- Provide compassionate care to animals during their visit.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment.
- Handle and restrain animals safely for examinations and treatments.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by the veterinarian.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and wellness practices.
Schedule
Current TCVS Business Hours :
Monday 8:00-5:00pm, Tuesday 8:00-3:00pm, Wednesday 8:00-3:00pm, Thursday 8:00-5:00pm, Friday 8:00-2:00pm, One Saturday 8:00-2:00, per month REQUIRED

Application Question(s):
- Are you able to confidently and consistently perform venipuncture (draw blood) on veterinary patients?
- Are you able to confidently and consistently place an intravenous (IV) catheter?
- Have you assisted with radiographs, including positioning and safety protocols?
- Do you have experience running in-house lab tests (CBC, chemistry panels, urinalysis, fecals)?
- How many years of Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Technician Assistant Experience at a veterinary clinic do you have? Please do not include time at other positions such as kennel technician, csr, volunteering, or care of personal animals.
