What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plumbing Technician position at Tri-County Pump Service?
General Purpose of the Position
The Plumber is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, or installing pipes, fixtures and other plumbing related components used for water distribution and wastewater disposal. The Plumber should have experience or willingness to learn to troubleshoot, repair and install well pump systems. This individual should have at least 4 years of experience in this industry.
Responsibilities
· Troubleshoot Plumbing Systems.
· Repair or Replace Plumbing Systems.
· Perform Plumbing related service calls.
· Create Invoices.
· Complete required service call documents (ex. Well System Checklist)
· Properly document service calls by taking pictures.
· Write descriptions of work and recommendations of work.
· Perform short scale estimates.
· Provide exceptional customer service that represents the companies brand.
· Represent company’s brand per company uniform policy and help enforce this with assigned apprentices and helpers
· Properly keep stock and good care of service van.
· Uphold the companies mission statement.
· Oversee apprentices and helpers when assigned.
· Take active role in helping to train and educate assigned apprentices and helpers
· Continuously advance their education.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent; trade school desirable, but not required.
· Journeyman’s Plumber license, or qualifies to take the Journeyman’s Exam
· Good mechanical and technical skills; experience reading technical designs and blueprints.
· Proficiency using plumbing tools, materials, and equipment.
· Excellent troubleshoot skills.
· Knowledge in piping and ventilation systems.
· Understanding of state regulations.
· Ability to work on call and respond immediately to plumbing emergencies.
· Strong customer service, listening, interpersonal and communication skills.
Supervision Exercised
May supervise plumbing assistant or apprentices and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws.

Daily travel to conduct work.
