Job Summary
We’re seeking an outgoing and knowledgeable Retail Sales Associate to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is passionate about whiskey, wine, and craft beer, and enjoys helping customers discover exceptional products while delivering excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet every customer with a warm, friendly attitude and assist them in finding products they’ll love
- Sell and explain a wide variety of products including whiskey, bourbon, wine, and craft beer
- Educate customers about tasting notes, pairings, and limited-release selections
- Upsell and cross-sell products to enhance the customer experience
- Operate the POS system accurately for accurate inventory and assist with stock rotation and replenishment
- Organize and restock shelves to maintain appealing and compliant merchandising displays
- Provide excellent phone and online customer service
- Assist management with daily operations and opening/closing procedures
- Keep the store clean, organized, and inviting at all times
Qualifications
- 3 years of retail experience, ideally in liquor, wine, craft beer, or specialty food settings
- Enthusiasm for and knowledge of whiskey, bourbon, wine, and craft beer strongly preferred
- Proven skills in inventory management, merchandising, and customer service
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Dependable, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced boutique retail setting
- Must pass a background check and drug test prior to hiring
- Basic math and POS experience required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently
- Bilingual abilities are a plus
