Position Description
This is a support staff position responsible for assisting with the delivery of DUI/SSS/IID/DATE services in accordance with the rules and procedure established by the Florida DHSMV and Administrative Review (Chapter 15A-10). Individuals in this position perform a variety of duties and coordinates the flow of information between DUI clinical staff, persons served, other clerical staff, DHSMV, the probation department, treatment providers, instructors, and the court.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Responds to incoming phone calls and to questions by persons served regarding DUI program services.
- Assists persons served with the DUI school registration process including completion of required paperwork and scheduling evaluation appointments.
- Creates a case record for all persons served registering for DUI classes ensuring that pre-evaluation paperwork is completed and that evaluators receive the case record before the scheduled DUI evaluation appointment time.
- Tracks all DUI case records that leave their designated storage area to assure security/confidentiality. Updates DUI case records per DHSMV guidelines. Persons working this position at the main office will be the secondary employee responsible for tracking all DUI case records that leave and are returned to their designated storage area to assure security/confidentiality when the primary record keeper is absent, or that position is not in use.
- Types class rosters, certificates of completion, and correspondence as necessary. Distributes and/or mails same per DUI program policies and procedures. Assures class rosters go to the appropriate DUI class instructor.
- Ensures that each instructor has an adequate supply of workbooks, BAL mouth pieces, and other necessary materials.
- Collects DUI fees, keeps a financial record of collections, makes deposits, and balances Daily Financial Activity Report.
- Fills in as registrar at other locations, and assists/cross trains with the DUI/SSS Secretary as needed.
- Performs other reasonable and other related duties as assigned.
- A high school diploma or GED, and at least one (1) year of full-time clerical experience, and the ability to type at a rate of thirty correct words per minute.
- The ability to interact with clients in a professional manner is necessary.
