Position Overview
Tri County Hematology & Oncology Associates is seeking a dedicated, experienced Registered Nurses to join our Dover and Massillon infusion suite teams. This role is ideal for a compassionate clinician with strong IV‐insertion skills and a solid background in Nursing preferably in oncology or hematology patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other IV medications per physician orders
- Perform safe and accurate IV insertions.
- Monitor patient vital signs continuously and assess for infusion-related reactions
- Provide patient education on treatment plans, side-effect management, and self-care techniques
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacy, and nursing team to coordinate timely, high-quality care
- Document all treatments, assessments, and patient interactions accurately in the electronic medical record
- Adhere to infection control standards, chemotherapy compounding protocols, and institutional policies
- Assist with triage and manage patient concerns or emergencies in the infusion setting
- Participate in ongoing quality-improvement initiatives and engage between different departments within the practice.
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted RN license in Ohio
- Minimum 2 years of direct infusion-suite nursing experience; oncology/hematology experience preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in peripheral and central IV insertions
- Strong clinical judgment, assessment skills, and the ability to recognize infusion reactions promptly
- OCN preferred
- Excellent communication skills, with a patient-centered approach and ability to collaborate effectively with the collective practice.
- Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
