Preschool Teacher 2 (Aide): Full Time, part-year; 35 hours a week August to May. Summers off. Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 7:15 am - 3:00 pm, and Fridays, 8:00 am -12:00 pm.
This position serves in a classroom to provide an appropriate social and emotional environment to expand children’s ability to learn, grow, and build trusting relationships. This role works in a classroom-based setting with typically and atypically developing children and provides daily supervision and support for children’s developmental needs.
The wage range is $17.21 to $25.25, depending on education and experience.
The minimum requirements for this position are:
- Must be 18 years of age and have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent certificate.
- Willing to obtain the Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) within 1 year of hire. Tri-County Head Start will provide opportunities for training and support to obtain a teacher’s qualification, including CDA support and coaching.
- Previous experience working in early childhood with children ages birth through five years preferred.
