What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Medicine Physician position at Tri-County Family Medicine?
The position will carry out the mission and vision established by the community driven Board of Directors for Tri-County Family Medicine (TCFM). TCFM is a Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alike in Western New York. TCFM has been established for 50 years. Our roots are steeped in providing healthcare to our surrounding rural communities. Our offices are located in Dansville, Wayland, Cohocton, Canaseraga, Nunda and Geneseo.
The Physician will see all types of acute, short-term illnesses and treat those within his/her capabilities, well-child and adult physical examinations according to need and established clinical guidelines, including pelvic examinations and pap smears, obtain psychosocial and health history on patients, provides counseling specific to developmental needs including nutrition, substance use, risk reduction, family planning, school/work issues and family/relationship issues, suture simple lacerations, treat burns and do minor surgical procedures, follow long-term problems, including but not limited to hypertension, diabetes, obesity, anxiety and depression, may provide prenatal care and will do appropriate record keeping, consultations, ordering, reviewing lab test results and complies with NYS guidelines regarding licensing, prescriptions and record keeping.
Requires NYS licensure, Board Certification, Basic Life Support, DEA license, English language, Spanish/bilingual preferred. New graduates will be considered.
Ability to administer impartial treatment to a wide cross segment of the socio-economic spectrum; ability to work under conditions of stress; skill in interpersonal relationships. Proficiency in the Google Platform, (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail) and eClinicalWorks or other electronic health record.
