Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including senior care facilities and private homes.
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor clients' health and well-being by performing regular patient monitoring and reporting any changes to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive client information.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' mental well-being.
- Administer basic first aid and CPR when necessary; maintain a safe environment for clients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and care provided.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred; experience in senior care is a plus.
- Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and basic health care practices.
- Knowledge of CPR and First Aid certification is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to cook nutritious meals that cater to dietary restrictions or preferences of clients.
