Direct Support Staff Day Program (Waldorf)
Job Summary: Must be able to work between 7:30 am and 5:00 pm (Shift is between these hours)
Must be able to work every other weekend!
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays a vital role in enhancing the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and other support needs. This position involves providing compassionate care, assistance, and support in our day program.
The DSP is responsible for promoting participants' rights and fostering independence while ensuring a safe and nurturing atmosphere.
Duties
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Support clients in achieving their personal goals and enhancing their quality of life through engaging activities.
- Monitor and document vital signs as needed, ensuring the health and well-being of each individual.
- Advocate for participants’ rights and ensure that all interactions are respectful and dignified.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other team members to develop personalized care plans.
- Provide transportation assistance to clients for appointments or community outings as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with health standards.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in home care and support for individuals with disabilities.
Minimum job requirements
· Must have a valid DL with no restrictions / suspensions.
· Must be able to work every other weekend.
· Willing to drive up to 35 miles each way to service our clients.
· Use of Own Vehicle
· Proof of Car Insurance
· Must Have copy of Diploma or GED

Pay: $17.75 - $19.00 per hour
