Lead Teacher
This is a full time/benefited position (benefits include, health, vision, dental, life, disability, pet insurances, 403b retirement plan, flex spending account more)
Role:
Oversees day to day operations to provide care and supervision to the children in the Head Start classroom using Tri County CAP Head Start developmentally appropriate curriculum and assessment and supporting responsive relationships with children and families.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
One of the two positions will hold the Child Care License as the Center Director in addition to the lead teacher role.
Ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, federal and state regulations and NH Childcare Licensing requirements, which included following TCCAP HS operational plans and written policies and procedures. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of a safe, health, clean and productive work environment, including both indoor and outdoor facilities.
Responsible for the oversight of the NH child care licensing rules and required documentation which includes the additional responsibilities with extended hours of service with children.
Perform record keeping including documentation in accordance with Tri County Head Start written plans and procedures, scheduled reports and mandated reporting in a timely accurate and confidential manner.
Ongoing professional development through education, role modeling, mentoring and training.
Build relationships and participate in community collaborations and events to enhance Head Start services.
Attend and or facilitate meetings and trainings as directed by supervisor.
Order supplies and materials as needed for effective service delivery.
Conduct home and center visits with families in accordance with Head Start Performance
Standards.
Actively participate in recruitment activities and work together with the program to solicit and obtain non federal share (in-kind) funds.
