Job Summary
Assists with the day-to-day administration of operations area, included but not limited to: online/mobile banking, bill pay, cash management, wire transfers, e-statements, remote/mobile electronic deposits, online account opening, telephone banking, assisting internal and external customer, ATM deposits and balancing, CIP, review New and amended accounts, maintenance retail accounts, updating customer information, balancing internal accounts, knowledgeable on Reg E, debit card disputes, working with supervisor on updating operations related products and services, garnishments/levies, Reg CC holds, all while adhering to rules and regulations related to banking. Providing excellent external and internal customer service.
Responsibilities
- Administers, effectively communicates, efficiently processes, maintains, and verifies all retail products via the helpdesk service for external and internal customers
- Efficiently processes all daily operations functions and responsibilities as assigned
- Develops and maintains a working knowledge of all banking products and services
- Assists in training for employees and customers
- Develops and maintains a working knowledge of the Bank's core system and its use, as itrelates to retail, electronic and telephone banking products
- Follows all Tri-County Bank customer service standards
- Maintaining a knowledge base for Regulatory Rules and Updates
- Ensures optimal resource deployment for efficient and effective completion of daily tasks
- Identify to improve departmental efficiency and productivity and make recommendations to supervisor
- Helping define scope and functionality of the department
- Creating operational efficiencies- identify both tactical and strategic
- Resolving outstanding items in a timely manner
- Assist operations department with the work load on a daily basis
- Processing of new accounts/maintenance accts, maintaining and reviewing documentation
- Functions as a subject matter expert on deposit operations processes, relevant depositregulations, legal requirements, and deposit operations processing systems
- Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and minimizing operation risks
- Handling data input, reconciliations, and ensuring accuracy
- Executing and settling transactions by front line and other departments as needed
- Working with supervisor on all new and existing products and services, maintaining aknowledge base on all retail functions and cross training on all duties while adhering toregulatory rules and guidelines, bank policy and procedures
- Complete all bank wide training as well as any additional training assigned
- Other duties as assigned
Skills & Abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy with good organizational skills. Good customer service skills with a focus on strong oral, presentation and written communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as with a diverse workforce and as a team member. Flexibility with work schedules. Ability to learn about products and services to make qualified referrals. Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex information and make sound judgments. Exhibits excellent judgment in handling confidential information.
Qualifications
A minimum of two years branch banking experience, college degree preferred. Cashing handling experience not required but helpful. Previous customer service background preferred. Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, E-Sign and other computer applications required. Knowledge and understanding of smart phones. Basic computer knowledge, to include but not limited to the ability to identify browser types and releases as well as IP addresses, trouble shooting. Excellent customer service skills and trouble shooting.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, or controls, reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee must be able to work in close proximity to other employees and concentrate efforts on tasks despite noise, interruptions and general commotion.
