Summary:

Our busy Orthopaedic clinic is looking for a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) to perform various office and clinical duties to keep our practice running efficiently. Our Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) will work directly with healthcare practice staff to room patients, maintain patient records, explain common medical procedures to patients and assist in basic examinations.

Position Duties:

• Promote the mission, vision, and values of Tri-City Orthopaedic Clinic
• Obtain patient consent for care and ensure patient confidentiality
• Accurately and promptly document patient health information (PHI), vital signs, risk factors, disease condition, and information on chief complaint
• Monitor and document treatment progress
• Educate patients and families about health status and management of conditions
• Refers to and consults with physicians and health care providers to prevent and/or resolve problems and/or concerns
• Participate in interdepartmental teams to improve patient care and outcomes
• Room patients and record information such as vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history
• Clean and prepare examination rooms prior to patient appointments
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and placing orders as needed
• Other duties as assigned
