Job OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee complex construction projects from inception to completion. This role demands a proactive leader with exceptional organizational skills, capable of coordinating multiple teams, managing budgets, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive construction site experience, strong technical knowledge, and proficiency with industry-standard construction management software. Project Delivery & Execution
- Manage residential remodeling projects from pre-construction through completion
- Review scopes of work, plans, selections, and contracts for accuracy and execution readiness
- Develop, maintain, and update project schedules in Buildertrend
- Coordinate inspections, subcontractors, labor, and material deliveries
- Identify and resolve hidden conditions common in remodels
- Ensure compliance with residential building codes, permits, and safety standards
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites, especially in occupied homes
Client Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners throughout the project
- Provide clear, consistent updates on progress, schedule, and upcoming work
- Manage expectations without giving away scope or margin
- Ensure all client communications, approvals, selections, and changes are documented in Buildertrend
- Partner with leadership on invoice reviews and payment tracking as needed
Financial & Job Cost Control
- Maintain or exceed company gross profit targets on all projects
- Control budgets, job costing, and labor hours
- Review job cost reports weekly and address variances immediately
- Price, document, and secure approval for all change orders prior to execution
- Ensure all scope changes are properly billed and collected
- Complete projects within ±3–10% of approved budgets
Scheduling & Productivity
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date Buildertrend schedules
- Reduce schedule overruns, downtime, and trade stacking
- Hold subcontractors accountable to agreed timelines and scope
- Complete projects on or ahead of schedule whenever possible
Buildertrend & Documentation Standards
Buildertrend is the single source of truth for all projects.
The Project Manager is responsible for:
- Daily time tracking (clock in/out and correct job & cost code assignment)
- Accurate daily labor allocation across all active jobs
- Reviewing Daily Logs every workday for:
- Manpower
- Work performed
- Weather and site conditions
- Photos and notes
- Correcting missing or inaccurate entries immediately
- Maintaining job documentation, photos, schedules, purchase orders, and change orders
- Confirming subcontractor schedules and material deliveries through Buildertrend
Quality, Safety & Close-Out
- Enforce company quality standards and safety policies
- Minimize rework and warranty issues through proper planning and execution
- Achieve high first-pass inspection approval rates
- Track punch lists and ensure timely close-out
- Deliver a professional, clean, and complete final product to the homeowner
- Verify Subcontractors are properly vetted

- Coach foremen, subcontractors, and field crews on expectations and standards
- Reinforce accurate documentation, time tracking, and scope control
- Lead by example in organization, professionalism, and ownership
- Make decisions with long-term improvement in mind, not short-term volume
