Job Description
Tri-Cities Pharmacy of Gray is looking for an All-Star Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team and help us take our pharmacy to the next level.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced, motivated pharmacy technician who takes pride in their work, enjoys serving the community, and wants to be part of turning a pharmacy around for the better. We are seeking someone dependable, detail-oriented, positive, and ready to step into a meaningful role on our team.
The Certified Pharmacy Technician will assist the pharmacist and pharmacy team with daily retail/community pharmacy operations, including prescription processing, customer service, inventory support, insurance billing, pill packaging, and maintaining an efficient workflow. The ideal candidate has strong retail pharmacy experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with prescription intake, data entry, filling, labeling, and dispensing support
- Provide excellent customer service to patients in person and over the phone
- Process insurance claims and help resolve billing issues
- Maintain accurate patient profiles and prescription records
- Support inventory management, ordering, stocking, and medication organization
- Help maintain a clean, organized, compliant, and efficient pharmacy workspace
- Communicate professionally with patients, providers, insurance companies, and team members
- Follow all pharmacy policies, state regulations, and confidentiality requirements
- Contribute to improving pharmacy workflow, patient experience, and overall team performance
Qualifications
- Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a retail or community pharmacy setting
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy workflow, prescription processing, and insurance billing
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
- Able to multitask and stay calm in a busy pharmacy environment
- Positive attitude and willingness to help improve systems and team performance
Preferred, But Not Required
- Experience using Liberty pharmacy software
- Experience helping improve pharmacy workflow, operations, or customer service processes
