Tri-Arc has immediate openings for 2nd Shift Mig Welder/Fabricator, Monday to Friday, 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm. These are full-time positions and Tri-Arc offers a competitive starting rate along with a generous benefit package, and the right candidate(s) will have the opportunity to join the United Steelworkers Union after completing 520 probationary hours. All candidates are required to take and pass a welding test and bring their own welding gear. This is an excellent opportunity for welders who like a challenge and want to become a skilled craftsman.

Essential Functions

  • Set up, operate, or tend welding machines that join or bond components to fabricate metal products or assemblies.
  • Assemble, align, and clamp workpieces into holding fixtures to bond, heat-treat, or solder fabricated metal components.
  • Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together (usually in fixtures).
  • Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
  • Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
  • Sets up equipment and welds parts, using MIG welding equipment.
  • Assembles parts by bolting and riveting.
  • Operates various punch presses, drill presses, shears, saws, and tube bending equipment.
  • Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 6 months of welding experinece
  • Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, walk, or sit for long periods of time
  • Must be capable of working in inclement conditions to include extreme hot and cold temperatures
  • Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
