SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Laundry Aide is responsible for washing, sorting, folding stacking and distributing laundry and linen for Allen Morgan Health Center (ALMHC), Trezevant Terrace Assisted Living (AL) and Trezevant Manor (TM).
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must be able to wash, sort, fold, stack and distribute laundry and linens to residents.
- Must show competence in operating washers, dryers, steam iron and other equipment in a safe manner, following all safety rules and regulations according to Trezevant Manor policies.
- Must maintain the laundry area in a clean and safe manner.
- Must ensure that proper handling and cleaning methods are followed and are in compliance with State regulation and guidelines.
- Must attend in-service seminars as needed and required to develop competency and maintain skills.
- Must be able to read at a capacity that allows employee to see “special instructions” for resident laundry and keep laundry separated according to individual resident.
- Must perform work that meets or exceeds resident satisfaction, as measured by family satisfaction scores.
- Must retain knowledge of Trezevant Manor’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
- Must be courteous and considerate at all times and develop good listening skills so as to show interest in the resident(s)and help prevent problems before they occur.
- Communication skills must reflect caring and respect for residents, families and other members ofOf Trezevant Episcopal Home.
- Report for work on time, as scheduled and outlined in the Employee Handbook.

License/Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to read, write and follow directions.
Salary : $13 - $14
