What are the responsibilities and job description for the ASSISTED LIVING NURSE SUPERVISOR position at TREZEVANT EPISCOPAL HOME?
SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for the assessment, establishment and promotion of the care environment for the purpose of improving and maintenance of healthy resident outcomes. The Nurse Supervisor is also responsible for providing professional nursing care according to the ANA Standards of Nursing Practice, in conformance with the scope of practice, plan of care and physician/nursing orders ensuring that the highest quality of nursing care is delivered in accordance with the established standards and procedures. This position is for every weekend and earns a $ 2.00 per hour for Saturday and Sunday.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and oversee the CNA mentoring program with the Lead CNA.
- Maintain, assign and oversee a mentoring program for all LPN’s in Trezevant Terrace.
- Assign new hire LPN’s orientation check list and send it to HR when completed.
- Complete 30/60/90-day evaluations for LPN’s in their probationary period.
- Work closely with the CNA Lead on CNA compliance; Ensure CNA Lead duties are completed timely regarding ADL schedule compliance and resolving resident/CNA issues.
- Work with Administrator regarding the Fall program; Monitor the logging of and completion of fall reports.
- Oversee the frontline fall program; Create reports and updates for stand-up meetings and QAPI meetings.
- Maintain responsibility for all monthly audits:
- Check and log monthly assessments by nurses
- Fall risk assessments completed quarterly
- Service plan signatures present and timely
- Monthly vital signs (VS) and weights done for each floor, then reviewed and input by the supervisor
- Put processes in place for interventions to any concerns with audit findings Report on findings to the DON and at QAPI meetings
- Required to round on staffing for both day and evening shifts, double checking that the building is adequately staffed and there are no concerns.
- Maintain a tracking system for tracking infections in the building; Train staff if there are patterns that need to be addressed.
- Be knowledgeable of Trezevant’s Mission, vision and values; Always wear appropriate uniform and clean, presentable and professional.
- Other duties as assigned/ required.
License/ Qualifications:
- Maintain a State of TN or a multi-state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Must show proficiency with computers and have great communication skills.
Salary : $28 - $30
