Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Human Resources Generalist to join our team and drive our HR initiatives forward. The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day HR functions at the site level, working closely with and under the direction of the Site HR Manager. They contribute to the effective delivery of HR services and the implementation of HR policies and programs, ensuring a positive employee experience and supporting the overall objectives of the site.

Responsibilities

Recruitment and Onboarding Support:

  • Assist the Site HR Manager with recruitment activities, such as posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial candidate screenings.
  • Can manage the entire hiring process for operators.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the new hire onboarding process, including preparing offer letters (under guidance), managing pre-employment checks, and delivering orientation sessions.
  • Ensure all new hire paperwork is completed accurately and timely.
  • Be the main contact person for the external temporary employment agency. Control and monitor the hiring with the external temporary employment agency. Control the hours worked on temporary contracts and invoices.

HR Administration and Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, both physical and in the HR Information System (Talentsoft, attendance, payroll benefits) in accordance with applicable legislation and Group/Site rules.
  • Process HR-related documentation, such as employment contracts, contract amendments, leave requests, and employee status changes.
  • Generate HR reports as requested by the Site HR Manager (e.g., headcount, turnover, absenteeism, training).
  • Handle general HR administrative tasks, including responding to employee inquiries regarding policies and procedures.
  • Sampling and validating salary calculations under the responsibility of the Human Resources Manager.
  • Liaise with finance to ensure payroll is reconciled with company accounts at month end.
  • Prepare salary forecasts to be provided to the finance department under the responsibility of the human resources manager.
  • Manage the HR Department's SAP orders.

Employee Relations Support:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding general HR questions and concerns, escalating more complex issues to the Site HR Manager.
  • Assist in the administration of employee relations activities, such as note-taking during investigations or disciplinary meetings, under the guidance of the Site HR Manager.
  • Help promote a positive work environment and support employee engagement initiatives at the site.

Performance Management and Training Coordination:

  • Assist in the administration of the performance management process (e.g., tracking completion of reviews, collecting documentation).
  • Participate in the implementation of the site's training plan in accordance with the Group's training policy and under the authority of your manager: identification of training needs, preparation of the training plan, implementation and follow-up of the training plan, analysis of the results of the actions.
  • Help maintain training records and track employee development.
  • Assist the HR Manager in all actions related to motivation and communication.

Compensation and Benefits Administration Support:

  • Assist with benefits administration, such as enrolling new employees in benefit plans and answering basic employee questions about benefits.
  • Provide support for payroll processing by ensuring accurate data entry and addressing employee payroll queries under the supervision of the Site HR Manager.

HR Policy and Procedure Support:

  • Help communicate HR policies and procedures to employees.
  • Assist in ensuring that HR practices at the site are compliant with company policies and local employment regulations.
  • Daily updating of the database and monthly management of improvement ideas.
  • Collaborate to the TIMES HR and be a driving force for improvement proposals.

HR Projects and Initiatives:

  • Participate in and support site-specific or company-wide HR projects and initiatives as directed by the Site HR Manager.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and services at the site.
  • Can manage the entire hiring process for operators.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the new hire onboarding process, including preparing offer letters (under guidance), managing pre-employment checks, and delivering orientation sessions.

Qualifications:

  • At least five (5) years of previous HR Specialist/Generalist experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to work off shifts as needed to support business needs.
  • Must be well organized and on time for work daily.
  • Previous experience with employee investigations and dispute resolutions.
