Position Overview
The Warehouse Operator is responsible for carrying out day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and distributing goods. This role ensures that products are handled safely, inventory is accurate, and operations are performed efficiently to support the overall supply chain. The Warehouse Operator works closely with team members and supervisors to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and products.
- Pick and prepare orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment.
- Perform inventory counts and assist with cycle counting processes.
- Maintain accurate records in warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP software.
- Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and storage of goods.
- Follow safety standards and report any hazards or equipment issues.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with company and regulatory standards.
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- 1–3 years of warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems or inventory software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in a physically active environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Lean Warehousing or 5S practices.
- Experience in a fast-paced distribution center.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP/WMS systems).
Working Conditions
- Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures.
