Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Milling Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and program CNC milling machines, including HAAS VF-3YT/50 machines, to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will drive efficiency and excellence in our production processes. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines such HAAS VF-3YT/50 with VPS
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and specifications to ensure precise manufacturing.
- Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision measuring instruments to verify part accuracy.
- Maintain high standards of safety by properly handling tooling, power tools, hand tools, and other manufacturing tools while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct routine machine maintenance, inspections, and adjustments to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying opportunities for process improvements and waste reduction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with proficiency in HAAS VF-3YT/50 with VPS
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawings.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines accurately.
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of milling stainless steel and nickel alloys
- Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings.
- Ability to hold tolerance to /- .005 or better and perform quality control checks on finished parts
- Experience working with HAAS VPS required
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, tooling equipment, forklifts (certification preferred), and support assembly tasks when required.
- Experience with non-production work
- Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience
