Duties

• Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialty trucks.
• Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
• Execute route driving assignments with precision, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with company policies.
• Manage delivery documentation accurately, including manifests, delivery receipts, and logs.
• Maintain communication with dispatchers regarding route progress, delays, or issues encountered during trips.
• Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws diligently to ensure personal safety and that of others on the road.
• Assist with securing loads properly for transport to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Support warehouse or loading dock staff in load & unload operations when required.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly.

Skills

• Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial driving environments.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely.
• Familiarity with driving different types of trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
• Experience with route driving and delivery logistics across diverse locations.
• Knowledge of freight handling procedures and load securing techniques.
• Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using forklifts or other equipment when necessary.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations related to trucking operations and transportation laws.
• Excellent navigation skills with the ability to read maps or GPS systems accurately.
• Good physical condition for long hours on the road and manual tasks involved in freight handling. Pay: $1,200.00 - $1,405.45 per week
