About the Position
Treston Security Services is seeking experienced and professional Armed Security Officers to join our team at SRO (Single Room Occupancy) properties in Riverside County. Officers will play a critical role in maintaining safety and order on-site, monitoring resident activity, preventing trespassing, and ensuring compliance with property rules and local laws.
These sites require a strong command presence, excellent communication skills, and the ability to respond appropriately to a wide range of situations with calm professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a secure presence on property grounds and building interiors
- Conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols of assigned areas
- Monitor for unauthorized access, suspicious activity, or safety hazards
- Respond to disturbances and enforce property policies in accordance with site procedures
- Liaise with residents, management staff, and law enforcement as needed
- Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports through company systems (THERMS)
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and readiness of issued firearm and duty equipment
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid California BSIS Guard Card (Required)
- BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit (Required)
- Current Firearm Qualification (Required)
- Valid California Driver’s License (Preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an armed officer (preferred in residential or property-based settings)
- Strong communication and report-writing skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods and work in various weather conditions
