We are looking for an experienced Structural Steel Fitter / Assembly worker to join our fabrication team in the McKinney TX area.
Responsibilities
● Fit structural steel beams, columns, HSS, frames, plates and miscellaneous components
● Read and interpret structural steel shop drawings
● Layout and position components accurately for welding
● Tack weld fitted assemblies
● Check dimensions, squareness and overall fit-up before welding
● Work independently while maintaining quality and production expectations
● Safely operate typical structural steel fabrication tools and equipment
Requirements
● Previous structural steel fitting/fabrication experience
● Strong ability to read structural steel shop drawings
● Experience with beams, columns, HSS and plate assemblies
● Ability to perform layout and measurements accurately
● Tack welding experience
● Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
● Reliable and safety-conscious
Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
