Tres LA Group, known for creating elevated and unforgettable hospitality experiences across Los Angeles, is opening an exciting new restaurant inside the iconic Pacific Design Center. Tres LA Bistro & Café will blend polished service with a welcoming, design-forward atmosphere in the heart of West Hollywood. We are building an exceptional opening team and are seeking Hosts who love guest connection, organization, and setting the stage for great service.
About the Role
As a Host, you are the very first and last impression of the restaurant experience. You will welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, manage seating flow with confidence, and support smooth communication between the dining room and kitchen. Your attention to detail and genuine hospitality ensure every guest feels seen, valued, and excited to dine with us.
What You’ll Do
- Warmly greet guests and guide them to their tables or waiting areas
- Manage the waitlist and reservation systems to support smooth service flow
- Provide menus and introduce the server to each new table
- Support pacing by assigning tables based on rotation and guest needs
- Maintain regular communication with servers, management, and the back-of-house team
- Answer phones, manage inquiries, and take to-go orders when needed
- Monitor dining and entry areas to ensure cleanliness and readiness at all times
- Assist with restroom checks and refresh as needed for guest comfort
- Engage guests in friendly conversation and respond to concerns with care
- Thank guests sincerely as they depart and invite them back
- Contribute to a clean, organized, and polished front-of-house environment
- Support teammates in operations when needed, especially during peak dining periods
- Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a safe environment
- Attend pre-shift meetings and participate in a culture of continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
- 1-2 years of hospitality or customer service experience preferred
- Confident communicator with a naturally welcoming presence
- Strong situational awareness and the ability to multitask under pressure
- Polished personal presentation and a guest-first mindset
- Tech-savvy and familiar with POS and reservation systems (training provided)
- A team player who takes initiative and supports others
- Availability for weekends, evenings, and holidays
- California Food Handlers Card required within 30 days of hire
- Ability to stand and move for entire shifts and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
