Extrusion Lead Operator

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must be able to communicate in English.

• Possesses strong problem-solving abilities, welcomes suggestions, and excels in interpersonal skills.

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently

•  Must be able to work systematically and programmatically.

• Experience with thermoforming machines is a plus

•  Should follow technological and other developments, train their subordinates and be instructive.

• Must be able to carry out the organization successfully and fluently

•  Should be able to evaluate the workflow as a whole and establish coordination and balance between various functions.

Key Activities:

• To carry out production operations in a timely and complete manner within human-machine-material and workflow relationships.

• To ensure that production continues in accordance with the production program without any problems. 

• To ensure that production is continuous and efficient by directing the employees under his responsibility correctly

• Communicate with supervisors and other employees

• Follow all safety procedures

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To ensure that production is carried out in accordance with the production program.

• To ensure that the products produced are made in accordance with the quality plan.

• Reporting events that may disrupt production to his/her superior.

• Not allowing the production rate/speed to fall below standards and ensuring continuous control.

• To control the employees on their shifts and make the necessary assignments

• To operate and manage the machines for which it is responsible in accordance with the machine operating instructions

• Changing Cooling Can and Die according to the program specified on the machines.

• Taking over the shift by checking the machines and production area. 

• By meeting with the head operator of the previous shift to find out if there are any problems from the previous shift.

• To ensure that the machines in the extrusion department and the surrounding area are clean and organized.

• To act in accordance with the relevant instruction in case of malfunctions and disruptions in production.

• To ensure that the craps that come out of the machines are removed from the production site

• To do the filter cleaning, to have it done and to notify the missing materials to the supervisors.

• Running the laminating machine

• To make the supply chain of raw materials, granules and empty pallets.

• To ensure that the adjustment and crimping rolls go to the waiting area properly and to carry out the control.

• Measuring the weight and thickness of the rolls.

• Checking the employees under their responsibility during the working hours, ensuring that they make shift changes near the machine , notifying their supervisors of any nonconformities, if any…

• Adjusting the workflow during resting periods.

• Determine the needs of the employees (permission, general needs, etc)  to inform their superior

• Depending on the principle of awareness, to be in coordination with other unit executives in the factory, to inform their superiors about situations that disrupt or may disrupt the work harmony within the entire factory.

• To work by adhering to the occupational health and safety training given to him, without neglecting occupational health and safety.

• To know their own duties in emergency procedures

• To know their own duties in a fire prevention plan.

• To act in accordance with the manuals, procedures, standards,  instructions and plans related to ISO 9001 defined as described on booklets, brochures, etc.  that have been given or will be given.

• To act in accordance with the manuals, procedures, standards,  instructions and plans related to HACCP defined as described on booklets, brochures, etc.  that have been given or will be given.

• To act in accordance with the manuals, procedures, standards, instructions and plans related to ISO 22000 defined by the booklet, brochures etc. that has been given or will be given.

• To act in accordance with the manuals, procedures, standards, instructions and plans related to SQF defined by the booklet, brochures etc. that has been given or will be given.

Physical Demands:

• The ability to stand for 12hrs, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds

• The ability to work in a variety of temperatures and environments

Work Environment:

• The work environment is typically noisy and may be hot or cold
