What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional position at Trenton R-IX School District?
Reports to: Supervising Teacher and building Principal.
Goal: To assist the certified teacher by working with students individually or in small groups.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with instructional tasks.
- Assist with supervision.
- Work with students individually or in small groups.
- Assist with preparation, organization and occasional clerical duties.
- Work cooperative with other staff.
- Keep confidentiality and respect student privacy.
- Keep the Principal informed of appropriate issues.
- Make decisions for the best interests of the District and within Board policies and CSIP objectives.
- Promote positive relations between the building, district, School board and community.
- Work to achieve district goals adopted by the Board.
- Execute all policies, rules and regulations adopted by the Board.
- Attend required meetings.
- Other duties assigned by supervisor.
Terms of employment: Schedule set by Supervisor according to policy.
Evaluation: Annually by appropriate administrator in accordance with policy.
A criminal fingerprint/background clearance is required.
