Trenton Psychiatric Hospital is an inpatient psychiatric hospital serving a diverse population of adults with severe and persistent mental illness and forensic issues. We are looking for motivated and dedicated behavior support technicians to work within an interdisciplinary treatment team to develop, implement, and monitor activities for our behavior support programs. We have a cohesive department of behavior support technicians and behavior analysts who work together to provide extraordinary care to our patients. EDUCATION:Graduation from an accredited college or university with aBachelor's degree in Psychology, Special Education, Sociology,Guidance and Counseling, Social Work, or other similarbehavior science program.EXPERIENCE:One (1) year of experience working in rehabilitation or therapeutictreatment programs for the mentally ill or developmentally disabledinvolving behavior support or the successful completion of a oneyear training program as a Behavior Support Technician Trainee.LICENSE:Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform in essential duties of the position.NOTE: Ability to physically lift, move, and position clients as needed.SPECIAL NOTE: A Certification as a Board-Certified AssociateBehavior Analyst issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board willbe required to advance to the next level in the series.
